They couldnt really hold a impromtu press conferance monday night becasue the board didnt leave until well after Sheedy left. The final decision to announce what was happening couldnt be made then.

Ladies and gentleman. Just to clear a confusing point up.
I know for a fact nothing was official or voted on at the Monday Night board meeting. The official decision was made on Tuesday.

As of Monday Night when our boss came out and said "No decision has been made" was true. It hadnt. It was made the following day.

According to Sheeds and Jackson, the decision was made in January.

Not that it matters anymore but:

Horsburgh was interviewed after the press conference on SEN and confirmed it was a near unanimous decision by the board and Sheedy was told first thing Tuesday morning.

He went on to respond to Sheedy knowing in January - "that Sheedy would only have had an "intuitive" knowledge until Tuesday that his time was up."

It was decided on Monday night by the board.

confirmed in this article as well: http://news.realfooty.com.au/sheedy-shown-the-door-by-bombers/20070425-pmo.html

Finding it hard to warm to the new president. Kinda like the new Pope....just doesnt feel right. Im guessing that feeling will mount if our next coach isnt of red and black origin too.

Acknowledged. It was probably made known unless he pulls something out of his backside, this would be his final year.

From what I read of it, he was told yesterday after the decision and then he decided 'to get it over and done with because we gotta be Adelaide'.

Well the sceptics would suggest he wanted it out in the open, to enable him to put his hat in the ring for some of the juicy jobs that are now out there .

rumour has it that the tigers are planning on chopping wallace and making a play for sheeds.
he does want to continue on, can he bring the tigers out of the wilderness and in to a formiddable outfit?:p
