Okay, i have been asked very nicely by my better half to stay away from full strength beer until our youngest gets a bit older.

So i at the moment my grog intake is restricted to midstrength beer, in saying that i have also upped my wine intake recently.

So i thought i would analyse midstrength beers and then would be interested to see people analyse other different forms of alcohol eg. light beer, full strength beer, wine etc etc

XXXX Gold- Good value, often can pick up a slab of it at Dan Murphy's or 1st Choice for 27 bucks, it is a pretty easy drinking beer, it has signature xxxx bitter taste. I find it tastier when it is cold and not ice cold.

Carlton Mid- Once again good value at around 27 bucks- I like it served ice cold and i always pour my Carlton mid as i do Carlton Draught, i don't know why it is but both beers taste better poured. It is an easy beer to drink and is my choice at the moment-due to price

Coopers Mild- Warning do not drink Coopers Mild after XXXX gold or Carlton Mid, Coopers Mild tastes like real beer, it has good body and sends the taste buds into overdrive, again should be poured. Unfortunately in Brisbane it is $43 a slab.

Rogers- Rogers mid strength beer from the Little Creatures Brewery can really stand alone as a top quality beer regardless of alcohol content, it is a smooth and tasty drop. This is my planned drop for grand final day. At $54 a carton it is definately a special occasion beer.
