Next week...freo over there.

We had some of our best senior players out today. Does anyone know if a good portion of them will be playing Freo?
I'd imagine Buckley and Clement will surely be there....
Obviously no Shaw or Rusling...

With our talls and some more leadership back, we'r a HUGE chance next week

Thanks Ripper Any idea who might not be playing for you guys next week? Buckley said on 3AW that he wont be playing next week. Not sure about Burns, Clement and Wakelin....

Out Licuria Walker Davis C Cloke

I would also consider resting Rocca instead of Cam Cloke. He does not need a long trip and a hard track at this stage of his preparation. I would not play Buckley for the same reason. And same for Licuria. Maybe Caracella too.

Its not about winning, its about preparing. If we win, all the better.

I seriously doubt we would see Wakelin, Clement (corked thigh), Burns play next weekend. Give Cam Cloke and Walker another opportunity, because I think they could make up for their efforts yesterday. Davis was absolutely lost yesterday, this could well and truly be his last season at the club.

I wouldn't put the oldies on a plane. Buckley, Burns and Wakelin should miss. Clement might want to go to catch up on old times. Same side bar one or two irrelevant swaps.

There is no way in hell MM won't take Leon over. Should be dumped but not a chance. I'm not sure when he'll finally give up on Walker but I hope it's soon. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of Iacobucci.

I'd rather rest Rocca Licuria and Presti/Caracella and give Clement Wakelin and Burns a run.

Buckley I wouldnt play at all.

But I basically agree, the old blokes dont need to get on a plane across the Nullarbor in February.

Yep, agree, dont need to drag the oldies over to subi.
Rest: Licuria, Rocca, Bucks, Burns, Wakelin, Cara...we want these guys to be real fresh for the real season and besides they do not have to prove themselves. Clement maybe, I'd just leave him out just so we could play some more youngsters.
Drop: Davis...agreed what was he doing? though maybe should stay and see if he can improve
In: basically some more youth. give them a chance to prove themselves and get a taste for what's it all about

Bucks said pre-game on radio he wont be playing this week. I would assume Burns is on the same prep.

Wakes said at half time he will be available this week (had a slight niggle last week) - whether he will go to WA is another question.

The Rocca/Tarrant/Fraser forward set up has never worked at Subi - good chance to experiment with something different - a smaller, mobile set up. Maybe Shannon Cox will get a go back home with Harry. Give Pebbles a rest.

Iles, Anthony, Stanley, H Shaw will be in the mix as we look for a more mobile mix on the wide expanses of Subi.

Nice theory to rest them all but in reality some them need to be played - you cant rest them all. Theres no point in picking too many kids in the one side and then getting belted (both physically and on the scoreboard).

Going on yesterdays match, Caracella should definately be left out. He was pitaful. I would like to see a couple of the kids play, including Harry O'Brien and Heath Shaw (who were very good towards the end of last season). Morrison can have a week off, along with Swan.

Jimmy can have another week off. Will be very interesting to see where the Collingwood hater Mike Sheehan rates Clement in his top 50. Would have to be top 10 -15?
