Good let's start a bidding war. Levi continues on his upward trajectory for the rest of the year and who knows - we may be able to squeeze out a first round pick. I mean if you can get one for Dawes or Wellingham, surely a Levi doing what he did on Friday every week is worth the same?
Uncontracted come year's end, and PSD could be more the go if necessary. Think he'll stay unless he gets serious overs from elsewhere.

PSD is for players who pick a club but their current club refuses to trade with them.

Levi will be traded IF he leaves.

Yes, and also disgruntled players way of moving to the club of their choice without remuneration to the club through the draft. No idea how Levi is being courted or thoughts on his current club & his future.

I highly doubt Levi is disgruntled. Considering what we know about him, you wouldn't think a guy who has struggled with confidence and feeling like he belongs, is playing great footy when he is disgruntled.

Or how about we just keep the big lump of a lad!

Put so much effort in developing him. Would be pretty dirty on him if he asked for a trade.

I'm not advocating to trade him. I'm just saying if he chose to leave (I don't know why) we would get something of value.

If he keeps up his recent form he would have decent trade value... but I don't want it to go down that path.

We often hang it on Carlton for not developing our own tallent. Would be sad to see a young KPF who we have developed lost.

And personally I think he owes Carlton a bit for giving him a chance.

Oh and I know you are not advocating it... just don't like the idea of loosing talent we have spent years developing before they even reach their prime.

Was referring more to the point of developing a player only to have him leave as he was becoming a good player.

Adelaide got lucky too with Josh Jenkins.

Well, they did lose quality along the way.

I'm amazed at the calls to trade Levi. He has one thing we've missed for years, a big pair of mits that can take a grab high above everyone's head. And we want to lose that?

I imagine he'll re-sign, it's probably down to a matter of what he thinks he's worth vs what the club thinks he's worth. I'd say given we have ZERO competition for Casboult's qualities, he'd be north of $400 over the next two years. His management probably think he's north of $500 (guessing here).

I wouldnt want him traded.

You dont trade a a contested mark like that too lightly.

Casboult is a perfect example of why Carlton is and has been a mediocre team for so many years. We recruited another player who cannot kick. How does a player get through years of junior footy the so called rigorous Under 18 system with such an appalling kicking style? How do recruiters ignore his kicking? We have Kreuzer to come back and we cannot carry three big men. None of these players have succeeded in the forward line despite many attempts. Before everyone goes on about Casboult's marking what is his biggest return of goals? We have to make a hard call at some stage with this list and hanging onto players who after 4 years still cannot kick, and is at best an average player.

He's arguably just played his two best games for the club against Geelong and Hawthorn and you want to cut him.
We've put so much time and effort into the kid - not a chance the club will trade him at years end.
With Waite only having a couple more seasons left in him, we need Casboult.
