Apparently we are going to offer him 500k to get him across from the scum.

Maybe the club thinks seeing as though we are in desperate need of another key foward that he'll kick a hundred goals next year with the future brownlow winner dusty putting the footy on his chest.

Thoughts?

We pretty much need to take a free agent/trade established key forward to manage the team responsibly.
Him, Reid, Tippet, doesn't really matter who it is - Ideally we just need a bit of putty to fill a hole while we develop/trade/draft for a young tall to take their place in 1-3 years or so.

Drafted kid versus a grown mature experienced AFL player for short term cover in 2018/19. Hmm, let's think of the last KPF that came in and could do the job at AFL level - almost guaranteed. .... Nope, no idea beyond Jeremy Cameron.

Casboult is a short term fix for a problem hopefully young guys will fix over time. Well, over time we have to get new KPs anyway, cause people get older.

Casboult is a decent fit for our needs. Not awesome, but cheap and can do the job we want. If Griff was fit and we knew he would stay fit then no need. But given the concussion issue I reckon insurance is a good idea. We can afford $500k. And he will do the job.
Is anyone wildly happy? Probably not.

reid would be my pick out of three
tippett could be okay if we could get sydney to pay half his salary although hes horribly out of form atm

I personally think we should look to the draft instead of picking up duds who literally cant kick from 15m out but anyways im not a list manager either.

Look at what has happened at the dogs with cloke...

Either could Richo ;)

Casboult has improved with his set shot kicking, actually, and he's more reliable now. I think he'd be a decent addition for the right price. We can't afford to have such little key forward depth, and we're destroying Jack by making him the sole focus.

George like already, so I dont get the hate,

$500K for Casboult is cheap as long as we don't give up picks for him.I'm not sure what his situation in terms of free agency is ,so feedback would be great.

He is unrestricted. Carlton do not have the chance to match. We offer him a contract and he accepts he is ours.

Once again, I will state Levi is one of the best contested marks in the comp and even when he doesn't mark it, he rarely gets outmarked, so brings the ball to ground for our smalls.
Has mongrel and has cleaned up his kicking, although I will concede his kicking will never be great.
A big yes from me.

Can chop out in the ruck, can mark and will come cheaper cash wise than other options people are talking about.
Obviously kicking can be an issue, but who's isn't at richmond.

Yep. Money for output wise he is the best option.
