What sort of player would he become guys?
Midfielder in the mould of Shaun Burgoyne or Small forward like Alwyn Davey, Brad Dick etc?

He's more a tall/medium forward as he 6'2" or so.

He's more your O'Loughlin type in build.

How are we situated to "pick" Liam?
As he came down and played a few VFL games, sort of for Collingwood, do we have any "claim" to him or will it simply be a case of e get him if no-one else picks him up first?

Any ideas?

We have no claim on him at all. He is open game to anyone.

However, there is no way he will be primary listed by any club if he nominates but is some chance to be rookie listed.

I'm not sure he even wants to play league football (or live down here).

half way through the year a mate connected with the club said we were real keen on a young koori player and would take him with a rookie pick if problems he had were ironed out and he could come to terms with life in melbourne, now i know who he meant.
Hope we give the young fella a go as he obviously has something.

That would be really tough for the kid coming from such a remote town. He will need huge support IMO.

He had huge support when he came down earlier in the year. I know one of the guys who was involved to some degree with that support.

I think it will be tough for the kid.
