Libba predicts Powell ban

WESTERN Bulldog tagger Tony Liberatore should consider a career on the tribunal panel after correctly predicting a two-match suspension for Melbourne's Stephen Powell.
Liberatore, in the twilight of his career, told Powell he would get two matches for striking him during Friday night's clash at Colonial Stadium.
The prediction was made near the interchange area after Liberatore and his former teammate were ordered from the field under the blood rule.
AFL investigator Rick Lewis was asked to probe the incident after emergency field umpire Brett Rosebury lodged a notice of investigation.
He spoke to both players on the ground after the incident and said he ordered them off under the blood rule.
"As we passed through the interchange, Liberatore said to myself 'he hit me with an elbow' and then echoed a comment towards Powell and said 'Two weeks for that Powelly', Rosebury told the tribunal.

At least he didnt make the story up as he went along. Campbell changed his version of events a couple of times from the end of the game to what he said at the tribunal.

As did Libba! He had enough clarity when he came off the ground to dob to Umpire Roseberry and was also able to predict Powell's suspension but come tribunal time, couldn't remember contact.

A proven liar, proven again! Powell should have been given another 2 weeks for not hitting him hard enough!

If I may, let me give you the so layout of how these things usually go, OR have gone in the past. Since the time pre Cambell when there was honour among players.

The player that was hit will threaten the hitter during the game that he will be rubbed out for weeks. It may not be obvious to you simple folk, but this is throw his concentration off the game.

Come Tuesday night most men who play football will not be crying about what happened on the ground, and stick up for the guy who hit them.

This tradition goes back along way. Even some of the tiger legends of the past lived by these guidelines. Also sounds quite similar does it not to Libbas actons last week?

But times are a changing thanks to sooks like Cambell and the rest of the yellow and yellow crue down at punt road.

What is obvious to us simple folk is that you have neglected to include the part about Libba telling the umpire that Powell hit him. Obviously the umpire hadn't seen it else he would have laid a report.

So all Libba did was ensure that Powell would have to face the tribunal. And all he did once he got there was prove himself a complete liar... again.

As you can see from the above quote he blatantly DOBBED to the Emergency Umpire Brett Rosenbury, knowing very well his disclosure would get Powell weeks. So your perception of his so called "Honour ?" is shot .

Do you simple folk, as you so eloquently describe yourselves, believe that NO investigation would have been lodged into the incedent that resulted in Libba receiving four stapples to a cut face, if Libba had not walked off without sledging Powell ??
And that Powell have received a different result ?

so your defence is that their would have been a investigation into the incident anyhow.ok no doubt there would have been.
then tell us simple folk why would libber dobb in powell to the umpire about powell hitting him with the elbow when as you say there is that code of silence amongst the players that all he libber had to do was shut up and take his medicine.
