Libba liked to talk about integrity and honesty in the interview, saying it didn't sit comfortable with him, yet didnt have the decency to show the same respect to a recently retired ex player, by announcing that he would be retiring in the following week to a group of drunken supporters at the races.

Disgruntled EX employee should be used when discussing anything Libba has to say regarding carlton.

My goodness someone really did get out of the wrong side of the bed today. You obviously don't know the difference between a troll and a decent post because I can honestly say the mods here so far haven't had a problem with what I've posted on this thread. I know very well the carlton mods are not as tolerant as other mods and I understand why and fair enough too. I didn't come here to troll. Have a good read.

no need to be concerened

they will have a look at the record books and realise we have not been good enough to tank for the last 6 years

tanking implies you are good enough to win but deliberatly lose and clearly this has not been the case with us.

28 wins
2 draws
102 losses

we have won 3 games in a row on 1 ocassion
we have won 2 games in a row on 2 ocassions

it is a sad sight but a true reflection of how poor we have been.

I don't know. I mean, its been 21 years already since Carlton won a flag without roting the salary cap (that we know of). Lets face it, its going to be three more years until you guys could play finals. Its a bit bleak, isnt it?
 
Look, there's NO DOUBT in anyone's mind that the Blues did not field their strongest possible line-up towards the end of last year. The season was shot, so we rested veterans, let banged-up bodies get medical help and blooded new kids.

We did EXACTLY WHAT EVERY TEAM DOES in the same position.

This is not a Carlton issue. This is an AFL issue.

That it's coming from Libba who is a sour little troll (who clearly can't coach) says more about him than it does about Carlton.

The "evidence" that Hutchy and Libba trotted out last night was pathetic. Carlton let Trav Johnstone run loose at half back for 42 touches. Oh no! Melbourne let Heath Scotland run loose at half back for 41 touches - go accuse them of tanking, too. Carlton played kids who weren't ready, like Jamison. Ummm, in new just to hand, we reckon we've found a beauty in Jamison, and I'd expect close to 22 games from him this year. Ie. IT WORKED. Libba's "gut feel" was something had been decided. Hutchy: "Did anyone tell you not to win?" Libba: "No - but I felt it." That tells me nothing but Libba is an idiot and Hutchy is a muckraker.

This is just so much noise, with so little actual NEWS behind it. But that's Hutchy for you.

If list management and preparing for the following season is tanking, there are ~4 teams a year tanking. Personally, I think tanking is intentionally throwing games you can win. I don't think any team does that.

But, none of this common sense or rational thinking is going to stop 8,000 unwashed, feral Pie and Tiges supporters from charging in here screaming "CHEATZZ!!111 LOL!!". Because the world is full of idiots.

Are you kidding? I don't expect you to know much about our squad but to say our future looks bleak today suggests

1. you have no idea of the troubles and "bleak" outlook of 2002 and

2. your insular, Sleepy Hollow smugness has soured any level of fair judgment you might have had.
