Lica has been cleared of the tripping charge against the Kangaroo's from last Saturday nights game.

Great news as he is back in form big time!

it's a ****in joke,

The AFL should be shot for letting him go, whatever happened to the tribunal saying they will be more consistant.

anyway, good news for lica!

What a load of crap. A player should notbe suspended for what Lica did. ie. surely a head high tackle is worse than a leg held out, with not force, but you don't see players getting suspended for head high tackles.

A player should only be suspended for a trip if there is force.

Finally some luck this year.

We were r*ped by the umpires for several weeks running, had one good week and finally ****e took notice the umpires are crud.

One good tribunal decision and watch ****ey come out on the attack again saying how poor the Tribunal are tommorow.

great news, i wasnt looking forward to hearing the verdict but was pleasently surprised
not that i thought he should go, i was more thinking cos koschitzke copped 1 for something similar, and i thought the AFL tribunal was consistent

oh well, the wheel turns and lica is right to go this week :)

Have you been watching football this year or do you get the weekley wrap from bigfooty.com?
Well that is pretty muh what you have just told me then. You are like an Essendon supporter and only see what you want to see.
At the start of the season the tribunal was under scrutiny for after some bad mistakes and the Guerra case was spot on and it looked like the tribunal kept there word. Justin Koschitzke was given a 1 match ban after the SAME thing as Licuria did against the Brisbane Lions in Round 6! So obviously the tribunal was inconsistant for tripping. Kasey Green got 4 weeks for just making contact which was on purpose. I know Paul Licuria's incident was a reflex action, but so was Justin Koschitzke's. Watch the game and see what happened! He should of been suspended, he must have been wearing his Collingwood guernsey in there the way the umpiring was on Saturday Night. And it was about time!!!

No, I just don't give a crap if a St.Kilda player got suspended for a similar thing. I really don't give a crap, and why should I? I don't support the AFL, I support Collingwood.

Just because the tribunal is inconsistent, does not mean that Lica should not have got off. It may mean that Kosi should have got off though.

Honestly, i really wasnt worried about Paul's visit to the tribunal. He was obviously innocent, he made bearly any contact, there was no force or malicious contact involved and it was clearly a reflex action. Even the AFL tribunal could suspend someone for that. Kosi's was a trip in my opinion. It was reflex that made him get his foot out but he knew what he was doing. As for Licuria, he just left his leg where it was when he relised that sansbury was going the opposite way to which he expected. Sansbury didnt even think it was a trip at the time, he kept going and thought nothing of it.

Not surprised by the verdict, but i wouldnt have been surprised to hear that the tribunal were stupid enough to rub someone out for something so minor, wouldnt be unprecidented this season.

He should have got off.

And so should have Kosi. The consistentcy in this case should have been that they both got off.

But, for the sake of consistency and trying to get back some tribunial credibility, Lica probably should have got one.

The key in Lica's case is he pleaded not guilty and the tribunal accepted that.

Good advice from the Magpies advisers this time around!
