Can any of you Geelong supporters tell me how good Kane Tenace is? He was taken at pick 7 in the 2003 draft - I think? He just can't seem to get into your best 22. I understand he is very quick - something that Collingwood really need in their midfield. What would you guys exept as a trade for him?

An exchange of 1st round picks would do it.

poor old turbo looked like an awesome player in his 1st yr but just hasnt re-captured that form. i actually think he has got gradually worse each yr.......i think he may go.

lonergan is the other that must go, as much of a good story it was him coming back from the kidney etc, he just isnt up 2 it, both b4 and after the kidney.

apart from that, i dont know, its rnd 7!

on west l see him being a good player in the hoops but he might have to learn new tricks like being groomed has a CHF/CHB working in tandem with big tommy up forward,and/or improve his fitness and try to a player like goodes
with otto coming back and blake at number #2 ruck and big mummy looking good l feel west must learn new tricks

Tenace's value in this draft would probably be about pick 35.

A swap of our second round picks wouldn't secure him as Collingwood will probably only be four or five picks better off than Geelong.

A straight swap as previously suggested would do the trick, perhaps for an early third rounder?

If a club was prepared to offer a second round pick for Tenace I think Geelong should snap it up.

As someone else mentioned he appears to have gone backwards and I just can't see how he can find his way back into the best 22. Even if he does he usually will be the first demoted when a first choice player returns so he can't even get into a groove.

I think his skills are ordinary and his decision making is poor. Even his one asset - pace - could be brought into question as he seems to get caught with the ball a bit for mine.

So, if Collingwood (or anyone else) offered a second round pick I'd say thank you.

If he goes elsewhere and does well, good on him but I doubt he'll play too many more senior games at Geelong.

On a side note, I read through the draft he was taken in - 2003 - and it wasn't a great draft full stop. A lot of players didn't really come on outside of Cooney and McLean in the Top 10 so Tenace is hardly on his Pat Malone.
