Should watch a few tapes of Barry Hall and take note of the way he leads for the footy, time and time again.

I know our midfield isn't helping but too often lately he's content to stay in the goal square, where he gets outnumbered and usually ends up on the ground.

Lucas kicked 4.4 last night because he worked his arse off and led for the footy.

Lloyd should go back to doing what he does best, we sure need him to.

yeah, not sure what hes up to, not playing with the passion nor the leadership thats required as a vice-captain.

Sits under it and doesn't put in the work that he did last year.

Very dissapointing start to the season!

just need to watch himself playing for the last 5 years or whatever.

I said this about Lloyd and got bagged, but he doesn't work hard enough. not since 2000. In 99 and earlier he was fantastic. Now he seems to wait for cheap kicks and I think he is just frustrated because he is completely lost at CHF but when at FF he isn't leading either. Needs a rocket up his @rse like a lot of the guys.

rubbish
the main problem is the midfield. we only got it inside 50 44 times against the saints, and hardly any of them gave our forwards a chance due to the slowness of the delivery. we got smashed in the centre clearances, and that prevented us rom putting any sort of pressure on their defence.

It's all about clearing it from our centre and getting correct delivery into our forward line. This is something we haven't been able to do in the last two matches.

The other night when the ball wasn't being smothered (how many of those did I see, I mean seriously??), we were kicking either to a two on one situation or lobbing it in the air.

Now Lloyd's great, but I'm sure we'd all agree he's ten times better when on the lead from the goal square.

The other night he pushed himself up the ground, and I'm sure Sheeds was fine with that, to see if he could get it and have some sort of impact on the game. It didn't really work but at least he was having a go.

In one on one situations he's great too, however he was either getting double teamed or our boys just weren't getting it to him at all. Same happened the week before against Port.

Got to get our hands on it first, and we've got to want to get our hands on it first. The only thing we wanted to get our hands on the other were our opposition's necks.

St Kilda could afford to play 2 guys at him at stages as the only other option we had was Aaron ****ing Henneman.

So it's not as if he was going to do any damage floating around by himself was it?

They got the idea right though after a while, kick it to Lucas.

When cupido gets back, then we'll have more options and won't have to worry about just kicking it to Lloyd.

Agree entirely, lucas should be playing up forward, at the very least until cupido is back, and i think even after that. defence isn't our problem, even with st kilda dominating the midfield our defence was very good against a pretty good forward line in Gehrig, Hamill and Riewoldt. Leave lucas forward, and let McPhee, Wellman and Solomon sort themselves out over who gets CHB depending on the opposition matchups.

When are Cupido and Haynes expected back?

plus with all our midfield playing at full speed we will get the clearences and the delivery just wait for the spate of injuries to end.

Mathew Allen Jason Johnson Mark Johnson
Justin Murphey James Hird Dean Solomon

When we get out lines looking something like that the clearences will come... and maybe if Murphey gets his arse in gear even the delivery.

I agree that Lloyd doesnt seem to be working hard enough. I think because he has bulked up, he has adopted Alistair Lynch's game style. Sit in the goal square and wrestle. Only problem is, he is always double teamed, and we don't have crumbers to clean up.

On Saturday night, Lloyd went missing....he wasn't even presenting. Forget trying to prove how strong you are, and go back to the Leading forward we love.
