I'm getting a week ahead of myself here, but I read this morning that Essendon "will be waiting anxiously on an incident between Matthew Lloyd and Bret Thornton".

Did anyone see it? I'd be fairly happy if Lloyd didn't play next week.

Yes, I saw the incident, Jim. There was absolutely nothing in it. From my perspective, Lloyd gave the slightest of head butts on the upper chest region.

Barnard will go.
Fletcher is in doubt.
Wellman may miss.

Lloyd will line up on Croft.

I worry about you sometimes Xsie. Lloyd hit Thornton with a clenched fist in the guts, his head wasnt butting anything. Having said that there was nothing in it and Lloyd has nothing to worry about. If it had have been Libba however...

I was talking about the incident where he actually made contact to Thornton's chest with his head.

Exactly if it was libber or another bulldog player did what lloyd did then they would get a few weeks, but its lloyd so of course he wont even get reported.

The commentators were making a big deal out of it but i think it looked worse than it was. I'm with Dry Rot, i hope he plays. It was so annoying to draw last time because of the way we played them....no ridiculous flooding!!

I'm agreeing with Local on this one. It was the quick one to the guts that may see him miss a week or two.

I've seen him do this before a few times. In fact, I think it was our own Kritter a year or two ago that he tried it on, LOL. NO report then, either.

That's funny, wasn't it a bulldog player that hit lloyd a few times last year and there was no citation or report.

Kretiuk was trying to slap Lloyd injured hand. A bit different from punching or head butting.

If there is one person protected by umpiring/reports its Matthew Lloyd.

Not only that Chops but there has been a fair bit of coverage in the media about staging for frees.
Lloyd is right up there with the best in the league and the umpires regularly get sucked in.

That's one of the things I hate the most about Lloyd. Games are often turned by a stupid decision cos Llyod fell over. It works every time. He falls, he looks up at the umpire, umpire blows whistle. Push in the back is called.

Why hate the player? Is it his fault he can get away with things others can't? Hate the bloke in white for giving the call.
