My name is 'Captain Football'. I am currently writing my third book which takes a look at the last 50 years of the Demons Football Club.

I am also a former player and thanks to my son am now using these forums for various levels of reseach.

Before you ask, it doesn't matter who I am as I'm here as an anonymous individual. I guess I'll let you know when the book comes out in September or October.

I am currently an administrator and still hold strong ties with the beloved Demons.

As you may have guessed from some of my posts I have a soft spot for players but absolutely despise the direction the sissie AFL administrators are taking the game.

I believe these forums are the core of the game and as such will dedicate a chapter to the fans (with much of the input coming from this area).

To all AFL fans I say continue to love the game, continue to put the AFL admin in their place and as for umpires ...let's not go there.

Neither famous nor important in this fan area son. As I said fromk the outset, the key to me successfully researching for my latest book is to retain my anonimity until such a time that I consider my work is done. At that time I will thank all those who provided generous feedback.

As for these sites I've only just discovered this tecnho internet stuff. Still prefer pen and paper but I've got to move with the times.

As for former players, I still catch up with Barass ocassionally at reunions etc. Last one was back in November.

My closest on field buddy was Max Walker but I haven't seen him in almost 10 years although we speak on the phone regularly. We're finally due to catch up next month.

Other than that I left the game totally in the earky 80's and it was only 4-5 years ago that I again became involved.

You may have guessed by now that I despise the current AFL heirachy. As much as I agree the game has to move forward from the good old days I believe it is becoming increasingly 'sissie'.
