Easy. The most misspelt word on Bigfooty is YOU closely followed by ARE

Note how they have three letters, not one. Y-O-U and A-R-E. Not very hard, but they seem to cause a few problems around the place.

"Teh" and "ahev" - that's just from trying to type too fast.:p

Your all being a bit harsh, but I suppose its neither here nor their.

Well don't forget 'adn', another common typo. ;)

Another couple that bug me are 'there' instead of 'they're' and 'your' instead of 'you're'

Yes yes I need a life. :o ;)

Alright well I'm gonna keep an eye out for the number of times "have" is spelt incorrectly (not typoed, but actually spelt incorrectly), and you lot go count up the ones youse reckon are the most prolific offfences, and we'll compare scorecards later.

yes, there are a lot of typos, but words like "loose" and "your" when it should be you're are genuine spelling errors. i think everyone knows how to spell "teh".

mobbs, what's the alternative spelling for "have"?

a few i have seen today:

Pick 4 could be a bust and we loose Kerr for nothing.

and if NSW goes on to a few 3-0 series wins in a row, you could see NSW people loose interest

Everyone looses in Subi, and post-subi, and we are just like the rest. Make nothing of that.

Well loose to Port, and win against WC.... and stay about 4th.

i think if swearing is banned, so too should bad spelling. think of the kids :D

i remember a news story at the alarming number of kids that were spelling wheat "weet" and cocoa "coco"

agree on lose, I had it in my signature ages ago as the internets most misspelt word.

Have is right up there in terms of should of, could of, would of.

There's an absolute classic which I have been trying to think of for an hour or so. People misspell is all the time. But for the life of me I can't remember it. I'm sure as soon as I stop trying it will pop into my head. (Or out of it ;)

I have a confession. I am a fairly good speller but my biggest flaw is the 'i before e except after c' thing, I do stumble with that one a lot.

I also use slang more than I should, saying 'wanna' and 'gonna' too much. ;) My last major one is saying 'hewwo' which I actually do say in real life when I speak to people, I always have, but it drives certain people crazy when I type it. :p

Spelling by some people on message boards is so bad it nearly makes my eyes bleed!!

The worst ones are:

loose instead of lose

of instead of have

your and you're confused

their, there and they're confused

Confusing it's and its

and the use of u, ur, 2, 4, etc instead of the proper words.

I wonder if some people, particularly the younger generations, ever went to school. Once you're told, surely it's not that hard to remember!?! Everyone makes some mistakes, particularly on some of the more difficult ones, but repeat offenders on the easier ones just astound me.

Stop piking on theese poeple that struggel to spel. I now im a god spelar, but juts becorse sum poeple unt as god as me, theyre is no nede to inslut them.

That rule is stupid, anyway...think of protein, Aleisha, feint, feign, sleigh, weigh....

I agree with NMWBloods - those ones absolutely annoy the crap out of me. Their/they're/there, and your/you're, as well as getting the apostrophe wrong in its and it's...and I wish people would realise it's "would have" not "would of"...FFS, what are(n't) people learning these days?
