30, and agree with OP- I have a mate who is a massive gamer and desperately wants to talk games whenever I see him and I really don't know how to break it to him that it really doesn't interest me any more.
I remember in the late 90s and 00s sinking an incredible amount of time into some games- Star Control 2 ruined primary school for me, Starcraft probably cost me about 3 or 4 percentage points in my end of high school exams, Rome Total War hammered my university grades.
A lot of games now really seem like a waste of time and effort, basically the choice seems to be between MMORPGs which will consume all of your life with no prospect of completion, and highly superficial console games which will provide no real pay off.
