Hi all. My buddy, a black and white cat disappeared on me on the 27th of Feb. I'm gutted, like I've lost a family member. I had him for nearly a year and he was full of character. Unfortunately, my partner let him out in the morning and when I got up to let him in and feed him he was gone. I've walked the neighbourhood, put up flyers and posters, my partner put him on fb. Alerted the nearest pounds. Now I feel so hopeless and feel I can't help him. Waiting and hoping he'll 'come back' is painful.

Have you guys experienced something similar? Anymore I can do?

Thanks for any advice or reassurance.

Which area?

I feel so bad for you Max. My cat went walk about for two days and I was beside myself. Hope you can find him soon.

Any local neighbours have cats? There's a chance your cat has found some food elsewhere and got stuck / been 'rescued'. If it were my buddy I'd be having a chat to everyone nearby.

I don't know anyone except for one neighbour but you're right I'll go out and knock on some doors

One of ours disappeared for almost two weeks four years ago, we thought she was gone but turned up very dishevelled and underweight. We reckon she got locked in somewhere.

My sister found her cat stuck down the side of a fence after two days one time, had to pull her out.

Yes that's what negligent owners say.
Shit dude accidents happen. We keep our cats in but we also have a small child and visitors that are not pretty aware and sometimes one gets out.

We actively work to get them back inside but I can't run as fast as one of the little buggers if they don't want to be picked up

One of our current cats back in 2008 just went missing in the month of September. It's a gut wrenching feeling and we had given up all hope after 3 weeks. We went on holidays for 2 weeks over Christmas and when we arrived home, she was just waiting at the back door. Pretty sure she had got stuck in a shed because she was just skin and bones. I hope you find your mate as soon as possible, make sure to ask neighbours to check any areas that they may have got stuck.

My sister in law's brother's cat went missing for 3 weeks or so. It seems that he'd jumped in the back of the telstra man's van when he'd been there doing repairs and it took him a while to find his way home. He'd obviously been fed by some well meaning neighbours as he was a bit dishevelled but okay.

Good luck max.
