Anyone else think he was pathetic tonight? He has so much pace and talent yet he doesnt utilise it enough. How Dyson can be labelled soft when Lovett is in our team i will never know. He needs t step up now Davey is gone. When he doesnt have the ball he is incredibly lazy which was what made him a good footballer when he burst onto the scene 2 yrs ago. There were a million times were he chose not to chase from behind which would of put pressure on or earned a freekick but instead hes happy to cruise along thinking hes a champion. RE the point about him being soft i will just single out one example from the last quarter when he was running back with flight and only needed to put his body in the way, yet he shirked out of the contest looking for crumbs which allowed Ling to mark. I might be being a bit harsh but he just frustrates me so much when he obviously has the capability to do better.

Very poor game from Lovett tonight, I thought. Seemed to be in cruise control and not doing the simple things like chasing and tackling.

He's one of the players that the selectors should seriously look at dropping next week.

As poor as he was tonight, I think there will be enough players out of the side next week due to injuries and suspensions. We need him in the team for pace.

He should play next week but someone should show him what Alwyn does when he doesn't have the footy.

The sooner Jetta comes back the better, god knows we are going to need his foward pressure.

The only thing that worries me about that is the state of his groin injury.

We obviously need him in the side, but do we put short term need in front of long time gain in his case.

There is no way he could give us the minutes Davey has been.

He's suspended so we'll have to wait a couple of weeks anywho. I can't see us going back on the punishment dished out and i hope they don't.

I thought lovett was actually one of our better players in the first half, but he was no where to be seen after that. which was a bit dissapointing, could fitness be an issue as its only his second game back? but i didnt like it when he gave nash( i think) a look for not hitting him on the chest in the last qtr:thumbsd:

We need to be very careful with him as he is showing the early signs of the "fevola syndrome"

He expects the ball to be dished up to him on a silver platter and at least 3 times last night he whinged and admonished his teammates when this wasn't done.
The coaching staff need to come down on this like a ton of bricks, totally unacceptable.

I can't believe it hasn't been raised elsewhere but i have never seen a player go to ground so easily or so often.

Of course when you are traveling quicker this will happen a bit, but it also happens when he isn't.Sometimes i wonder if it's the easy way out, not sure yet.

Hes quite a good player but needs to pull his head in, realize it's not all about him, work his guts out and run harder and for longer than he ever has for his TEAM, we need him more than ever right now.

Agree totaly. I dont expect him to do all the ahrd work but he has to put his body on the line when needed. He also has to use his speed to advatage more. Often he simply doesnt run hard enough to offer us an option.

I still don't think he is totally match fit. Having no bench to rotate on and off would have hurt him tonight. They used him as a burst player last week and he was effective enough.

I'll still give him the benefit of the doubt.

ill probably be labelled a racist, but i think he has lost his blistering pace....

110% agreed, its disappointing to see players of that skill just cruise around, playing it like the game will just come to them

he wont be dropped due to the injury / suspension factor

yer show everyone what you can do son, you haven't really shown us all you've got, only glimpses of glory lift it we need it more than ever now that little alwyn is out
