Would loved to have seen him play another game with Sandi in the middle. Anyone else notice how good an understanding they had together? Sandi knocked the ball down his throat a good 3 or 4 times, and he didn't drop it once. Mix that with the fact that he throws himself at the ball and often has the strength/mobility to drag it out and we have a great inside option.
I love the Pav, but he's been fumbly and slow all year. If he'd had those same opportunities as Lower took he'd have dropped, bobbled, over run or gotten caught with at least a couple of them. Whether Pav in midfield-full time was a Harvey or Pav or Harvey/Pav driven thing, they need to agree between themselves that it was a stupid idea and bin it for all time. In patches for impact, and only occasionally. OK.
Would love to see Sandi tapping down to Fyfe and Hill in a similar way as he did Lower. Not all the time, but I reckon they'd be two guys that'd provide a terrific option at clearances... more as a surprise or impact tactic than all game. Set it up the way the Weagles used to with Judd, with DeBoer or McPhee blocking and Hill bursting through. That'd create a bit of havoc, and make better use of Sandi's ruck dominance. Remember the damage that Judd used to do bursting away from clearances... well add the fact that Hill can actually kick (unlike Judd) and Hill could become a game changing weapon all over again, and in a different way.
