Luciano Pavarotti RIP

A sad loss to the world.

He had one of the finest tenor voices in the world and in history.

Amongst my favourite recordings that featured Pavarotti were

La Boheme (with Freni) and Lucia di Lammermooor (with Sutherland).

Great song Not being an opera fan, that kind of crossover stuff is what I can appreciate more from Pavarotti. RIP.

Loved it when he sang Nessun Dorma.
What a talent he was, such a shame he passed away, but his music lives on.

Nessun Dorma was just one aria from Turandot. Pavarotti popularised Nessun Dorma, which many others tried to copy (and out of context) but really failed. These other versions are really cringe-worthy if you have a good ear.

Some of Pavarotti's best works were with Dame Joan Sutherland in other operas.

Don't like Opera at all.
But **** me that gut could seriously sing, anybody that denies it is tone deaf, no matter how young you are, something wrong if you can not recognise just how damn good he was.

i'm pretty sure the guy who won australian idol last year did a version of nessun dorma. strange concept.
