Played only 46% of the game on sat yet had 22 touches half of which were contested i believe. The kind of guy you want out there complementing Lenny Hayes. Ross Lyon obviously does not have a lot of faith, as we have seen with his exclusion from the team later in the year. Will he be traded? Or will they keep him?

Is Ross Lyon completely f*** mad!!

Does he have it in for this bloke or what? He is a quality player. Sure he has butchered the pill in recent times, but I think that is mainly to do with confidence. How is he supposed to build that up when he is given 50% gametime and a lot of the season in the magoos?

If he leaves the saints, I will be bitterly disappointed. An absolute star, and someone that is a great leader, and highly respected amongst the club IMO.

We do not know if Ball is 100% to then warrant 100% game time. as it is he is being treated like a ruckman in playign 50% of games and this has been going on some time now. I would not be judging the club right at this point for his game time because you never know when he might pop up for scans or something of the sort. Be pissed with the club if he is offered for trade, which I'd be surprised if he was.

My take on this whole ''game time ''issue with Ball is this;

Lenny, CJ and Ball are the same type of players. meaning they are our in and unders. Now we would all agree that Lenny is our best component of this and thus you would start him on the ground along with CJ cause his obviously has his tagging job.

So therefore once Lenny tires , Ball normally comes on to replace him, which brings to the table of having one excellent in and under replaced with another excellent in and under. By doing this, we are ensuring we have the same level of impact at the contest.

So I Believe it's not about this preception that Lyon has an issue with Ball but the mere fact of what is our best set up and how we best implement to maintain the level of pressure at every contest

Not sure he will go anywhere BUT, did any of you notice him at the last open training session kicking with Mini? He missed Mini from 25 m 6 out of 7 times in a row by 5-15 m.

I did notice him missing a couple of targets, but I also noticed a couple others missing as well so I thought nothing of it since they seemed to be doing very little and were only out there to "make nice" as opposed to be professional about it. can't say that i saw him miss more than 2 though because I was trying to scan generally.

Keep him, he is one of the best players your team has had for years. He is a champion that goes under packs and gets the ball himself. A great leader with great skill and hot legs.

This.

I think they've already come out and said he's a required player. Only reason he'll go on the trade table is if he's unwillng to accept a pay cut... which would go against 'the pact' the core group made a few years back - hopeful and confident he'll be in Saints jumper next year.

Super game from him on Saturday BTW.
