What are the chances of this Kid lastign to pick 12? I really like the look of him would round off our` mids/flankers really well.

Most over rated player in this draft by a mile, played against him, hes good, a bit of an U18 bully due to size. Big kick, doesn't win enough footy and is not smart enough to warrant first round selection really. Would be annoyed if we took him with second pick.

Just wondering what you think his qualities are that would make him a possible first round pick?

I'd more than happily take him at Richmond with our second round pick. Not every player has to be a ball winner, he could play a Hurn type role, only getting the ball a few times but making them count, or we could put him off half forward where his strong marking and precision kicking would mean that he would either kick a few goals or set others up. You just can't underrate the value of somebody with a big, deadly accurate kick, especially at clubs lacking in kicking skills.

He does have some attributes, but I have played against a lot of guys that have been drafted in the last two years.

IMO you can have all the skill in the world but you need that awareness that makes you just faster than all your opposition, the time in traffic to sum up a situation, esp in U18.

Tapscott lacks this IMO, he just crashed though guys half his size, he does not have the game sense to read to ball very well so despite his size, so does not win a lot of his own ball. Tapscott may be a good player but he is not near many other guys I have seen at this age. His size and lack of physical development must be considered as well.

Trengove on the other hand has the attributes described above in buckets

For some reason i really think he'll be in the blue and gold next year, it'd suit him as well. Really hoping he slips to 22:thumbsu:

Has a decent head on him, seems like the hard working type to make sure he goes the extra yard to get better.

"Never take the easy option out of something. Everytime you do, someone else is taking the hard way and getting better than you. Also, always strive for improvement. Take as much advise from the knowledgeable people around you."

would love him to fall to 22/23 and its looking more likely as we approach the draft!:thumbsu:
