Lynch could be come a very good footballer. The problem I had with him yesterday was that he tried to play 2-3 metres off Rawlings, in an attempt to get the loose ball coming in, and then run off the half back line. However this tactic may work well in the WAFL and/or the Wizard Cup, but it will not work against a premier forward and one who receives very good delivery from his midfielders. A number of times yesterday, the kick was waited perfectly for Rawlings so this tactic of Lynch backfired.

If he wants to play on Tredders he needs to be man on man. No loose checking otherwise another key forward may kick 7 on us by the end of Round 2. Any thoughts?

Some blame has to go to the coaches. Popular belief is that he was held back last year because the Eagles coaching team wanted to turn him into a defender, thus playing him down back in the WAFL. I imagine he was given a lot of coaching on tactics, tricks, etc. I'm sure if he was instructed to stick to Rawlings like a G-string sticks to a fat chicks *ss, he would have done so. But that would take away from his rebounding ability, something Carroll is not capable of.
