Give Matt Wright a spell and give Lyons an inside role. Do not throw him in a forward pocket...

I have heard first hand he is frustrated at not getting a crack. Wouldn't be human otherwise

Im frustrated with the selectors can only imagine what he must feel.
I said this a few weeks ago, if you dont pick players based on form, soon enough your gonna have problems with culture and harmony within the squad.

He's been stiff by getting drafted to the crows, in another draft he would have possibly gone to GWS or Gold Coast, Melbourne, Dogs, and would played 20 odd games by now.
Heard a rumour that if he doesn't get in this year, he'll be opting to try his luck somewhere else as his contract is up at the end of the season.

you reckon he is stiff not being drafted by any of those clubs? Hmmm.

Reasonably certain he signed on for 2 years at the end of last year meaning his contract will be up at the end of 2014.

I hope he is angry at the lack of opportunities nothing to worry about there. Should get his chance soon.

He'll get his chance and be better for it playing in a team which will aid his long term development now. In the past it was a pity for him as more senior players were in good form and uninjured. Now senior players have dropped in form and there are injuries he certainly has an opportunity.

Getting chucked in the deep end at Melbourne would do his career no good at all, ask Jack Watts to see if he is having fun at Melbourne....... And the other teams will be only marginally better, in GWS he probably wouldn't make the cut in the long term because of all the high end talent and the squeeze when the list sizes reduce.

If he does want to go elsewhere I am sure the Crows will organise a suitable trade. Hopefully he will get a chance to shine. He can't be far away, but people should be careful what they wish for because getting "20 AFL Games" at a differnt club may not be better in the long run for a career.

I was really impressed with what i saw from Lyons today. Is he signed up yet? Seems to have some real class and attacking ability. We could have another 200 game quality mid here.
 
I hate commenting on games like these because you always have to add in the 'although it was only against' line.

Lyons was one of the best in the last quarter and a bit (read into that what you will) but he just shows a lot of class with and around the ball. Clean disposal as well.

I really like the kid.
