Mac: Ad tabs on Chrome

In the last 24 hours or so, I've ended up with tabs randomly opening on my Macbook. I use chrome and have never had an issue with anything.

The tabs are for all sorts of things, usually online RPGs or just general dodgy sort of shit.

Sometimes these things can happen from installing an app/extension but I haven't done that lately.

I have watched a few episodes of a TV show on some website so maybe that's it.

Anyone have an idea? Running an AVG scan for the first time now.

Maybe try reinstalling Chrome?

But yeah i'd go along with what Thomas said and just clear it out and install it again

Sometimes when i've gotten a virus, AVG is usually the first thing that's installed itself
