Check out something i've been making.

This is like magpie central, but inside a windows program

You choose what match you want to watch and you can watch it via windows media player on your pc, no need to visit any webpages.

If i finish it then it'll mean that you will get replays much faster as i wont have a need to edit webpages, it'll be built into the program. Even though i'd still have to keep magpie central for ios users.

Anything that allows the replays to be uploaded even quicker would be a plus in my opinion. As an expat, your site has become my go-to for watching Pies games. Can't thank you enough mate.

No worries, and yeah this will allow for almost instant replays if i do complete it, but it would also phase out ipad support so i'm thinking against it. It'd only be like 30 mins quicker since i'm pretty fast at uploading.

The only problem is i'd need a web server and domain name to make all this project into one.

I'm thinking i'll draw up a base program to show you guys how it will look and we can get some funding going? I'll only need $20 for a start-up.

Have you thought about using a crowd funding site for raising the cash you need to do it properly?

You've obviously got form, and a lot of people seem to be supporting what you're doing. (Me for one)

It would be much simpler than that though, all i would need is $20-30 a year for some dedicated web hosting to keep files on the server and store a database. Those sites are usually for programs that require lots of money.

I suppose i might as well reveal the secret i'm working on to see if i can get some little funding. I am totally against ads and paying for things so i'm going to keep it all ad free and all that.

This is what i hope to build magpie central into.

Log in to use the program, registration is required but is free. You will only need to provide a user/pass/email and it'll be stored in a secure hashed datbabase.

Registration system will be integrated into 'magpie central forums' so your forum account will work on the program to log in and vice versa, this means more interactivity.

Program features
- Built in news system :: Get all the latest news on the program and stay up to date with the latest version easily.

- Match Preview and Review :: Read match previews for our upcoming games and reviews from the last game. (Might ask permission to put Daves/Matty's previews up if i can as well as a special something from me)

- Magpie Chat :: A real time chat box allowing you to chat with anyone using the program, watch replays and chat with your fellow magpie fans at the same time.

- Replays :: Exactly what it says, basically what the site is now all fit into one nice program, select games and quality easily and all replays play in windows media player.

- Extras :: Anything else that sounds juicy.

Might also add live twitter feeds and more other stuff.

And cannot figure this out: why is the AFL not providing better support for mobile devices?

Get this: on those rare occasions when I want to watch the game live at home, I can watch it live on my iPad through Bigpond streaming ($5 a game). **BUT**, the App instructs me to turn wifi off because it'll only stream over 3G! How crazy is that?

I missed out on the game yesterday and was looking forward to coming home and watching a replay of the game tonight - unfortunately it's not up on MagpieCentral yet.
