We had our chance to have Sheedy... We wont get MAlthouse, they will stick with HArdwick or another young inexperienced coach because its about our future:o

Well he's keen to keep coaching even if it's at another club and we are desperate for an experienced coach, the only thing is we'll need to pay out hardwick ala wallace style that's a lot of wasted money we can't afford.
 
You might have to give up three left nuts. Who knows, but at the moment Hardwick doesn't look too good. I understand he is learning, developing and so on, but it's mind boggling that he doesn't change one thing when we are down.

Malthouse is showing his true colours at the minute. He is shamelessly self promoting himself to try and renege on a contract he signed. Appearance on the footy show was a disgrace. No surprise to me. Remember when he's lost GF's? Turned on his players, took zero responsibility.
I've no doubt he's a good coach. But he's operated in the biggest, richest club in Australia with the best support imaginable. One flag in 11 years.

everyone knows Malthouse is a great coach, but if he were to bring our club out of this 30 year slump, he would be seen as a true immortal of the game.
 
No. Hardwick is our man. We have said it before but we need to stay with him. I didn't expect it but everyone else on the board said it would be a testing year for Richmond, they are correct.

I am as disappointed and embarrassed as the next tiger fan, but we CANNOT drop Hardwick now. We will get this. Malthouse is not the answer when our cattle just isn't working.

I take that anyday after a 31 year drought.
 
I'm also of the belief that Hardwick is our man, even after the clubs poor last month.

He needs an environment that allows him time to nurture and develop a team that will take us to finals, not one that will shift tack and direction when times are not so good.

I'm tired of looking for messiah figures to pull us out of the mire when in fact the problem is largely one of a poor and inexperienced list
 
We don't need to buy a coach, we need to buy a captain.

Nothing against Newy, I like him and respect him.

But we are so lacking in players who stand up and really lead the way on the field, it's as plain as daylight.
 
I'd (almost) give my left one NOT to have Malthouse at the club. Like Sheedy, there's been plenty of opportunity for him to come back and help us out but he hasn't bothered.

Hardwick's our man and needs our support. We just don't have the players.
