I've never heard of a convicted rapist getting a suppression order on his name for mental health reasons.
He was mentally fit enough to stand trial so he should be named now.

I actually had someone tell me it was one of his siblings and I doubt I’m the only one to be on the receiving end of some Chinese whispers.

I do wonder if an appeal is coming and if they’ll try to extend the order until it’s dealt with.

Unfortunately rules are rules. But I wonder if the convicted rapist will appeal his conviction. Then he might send out a message asking others to help rescue him from his fate.

I assume most people would be in some form of mental health crisis with the consequences of their actions catching up with them. Doesn't at all sound like a valid excuse for leniency in this case.
