Fear, humiliation, stress, ongoing stress, all manifest in the body. He's been found guilty on two counts of opportunist digital rape. It's a serious offence but there are factors that determine the sentence compared to other rapes that are planned, violent and prolonged.
He didn't damage her physically with either the rape or a beating. He didn't taunt her with insults or ejaculate inside her. If it's his first offence then it might be a fair assumption that there is a low likelihood of re-offending.
I included the victim impact statement in the aggravating factors. Clearly any rape victim will have psychological harm.
These negative factors all have physical responses and they are damaging short and long term.
He may not have taunted the victim but pressuring and gaslighting at the time and afterwards, would have a similar effect.
Rape is rape, it is not about ejeculation, nor as has been pointed out by someone else previously, about a penis.
Making a 'fair assumption' that his actions during and afterwards, his lack of contrition, doubling down on his lies, continually gaslighting the victim etc. would point to a high probability of recidivism.
