Where are you watching it Shepp?

I've got Setanta but I really want to be around other blues for this one.

Looks like a we've taken over The Imperial Hotel on Bourke Street.

You should come down!

When the millions dry up, there will be no team left.

The Championship beckons ...

And Box Hill would beat them !

.

I think City will be right in contention for the PL next season. Personally I thought this season was up for grabs for a few sides, it was really an even playing field. And barring some crucial signings from United and Chelsea (and Arsenal) I think the title will be City's for the taking next season.

Mind you, City inevitably losing Tevez will be a massive blow - he seems to be their only reliable functioning forward. Dzeko obviously needs time, but christ he's struggled so far and has looked extremely underwhelming. Adebayor (their second best forward, for mine) looks like he's off too... Balotelli is a beast of a player when he gets his act together, maybe next season he'll be set to explode?

I only need see the name and I feel an inherent need to reach for my wallet. I expected better of you Shepp/2S4S

Are we too rich for you? :D

I expected Dzeko to be better. Hopefully he just needs more time adjusting to the EPL.

I think we'll lose Adebayor to Real Madrid. Possibly get Kaka in return :). Kaka and Silva would be an exciting midfield :thumbsu:

Mancini reckons Balotelli could be as good as Ronaldo. Big call. Unbelievable talent, but his attitude is disappointing. Still very young and could be anything.

Great idea having a City thread, gives us Hawk/City fans a chance to see who our brothers are! ;)

Absolutely cannot wait for the FA Cup Final on Saturday night.. FYI, it is love on SBS as well as on Setanta and I think SBS might have a better commentary team as well!

Hopefully Tevez starts and plays well, I think the key to the game will be how we deal with Stoke's physicality and how they deal with Yaya Toure (if he has a good game, we win.. Simple!)

Kaka is a sicknote ATM and he's playing in the soft La Liga, I highly doubt his body will be able to cope with the rigours of the Premiership. Which is a shame to see as he was once an incredible player, but I highly doubt he'll ever recapture similar form over in Spain, let alone in the Premiership. As for Greedybayor, he won't be going to Madrid - I'm pretty sure Mounrinho's come out and said they won't be signing him permanently - Greedy himself has earmarked the Spuds as the club of his choice ATM.

Dzeko's touch looks so abysmal for a player who exhibited the talent he did in Germany. Every time he actually manages to control the ball, and turns someone's nicked it from him. I think it's probably just a confidence thing ATM and come next season he'll show his true colours.

But, it looks like Mancini is willing to spend big cash on Ibrahimovic, which would probably restrict the newly-bought Dzeko so sub-appearances and he's not as flexible as Balotelli (who could play wide in a 4-3-3).

(on a side note) Speaking of which, Balotelli's one strange character. I read an article a few days ago about him:

MARIO BALOTELLI should get a Heart of Gold from ESTHER RANTZEN.

The Manchester City star helped a young autograph hunter being picked on at school - by confronting the bully himself.

The striker questioned why the young lad was playing truant with his mum outside the club's Carrington training ground rather than attending school.

After the fan revealed that he was being bullied, Mario drove the youngster and his mum over to the school in question and demanded a meeting with the headteacher.

The Blues ace got the youngster to confess what had been happening and made him identify the culprit. The lads eventually shook hands before Mario got into his white Maserati and sped off.

A source said: "Mario feels strongly about bullying and thinks it's out of order.

"He had no qualms about sorting the mess out as he felt the lad should not be missing out on school."

If you were the bullied lad's mum, please get in contact.

Esther might not be available to present hero Mario with his award...

This should get the juices pumping.

RULES being rules they probably won't be allowed to dismantle it and take it down to Wembley before hammering a few nails into the FA Cup final dressing room walls which formed part of the £900 million building costs.
But when Manchester City's multimillionaire players get changed for training every day they do so under a massive white-out-of-blue banner which screams out the message: "There is a place in history waiting for you."
Then, when they trot down the tunnel to play at Eastlands the last thing they see before hitting the turf is the slogan "Pride in Battle".

And if you accept the easy, lazy descriptions then ''battle'' is precisely the sum total of what Roberto Mancini's expensively assembled, elegantly arrayed City side can expect at Wembley from Stoke.
A brutal, bone-crunching, no quarter given or asked battle at that
