White is a very over-rated player imo. He is a good ruckman but rarely has an impact on games like the best ruckman do. Gets a lot of short kicks and does not take a contested mark.

I think White's problem is his main asset of vertical leap has been negated by the centre circle rule, thus negating his run up. Also at 30 yo and having gone through his shin problems, his leap is definitely not be what it used to be. He's taken stuff all contested marks in the last 3-4 years because of this, but in his prime he was taking a hanger every week just about. What he has needed to do is reinvent himself as a leading forward, which if hadn't done that by now, he never will.

At least he can actually take a contested mark inside 50, that is one positive I suppose.

Yes he has been known to do as you say. This happens about every fifth game he plays, about as frequently as he displays genuine footy nous.

If he's not taking marks, he should crash packs. If he's not getting tap outs, he should use his body to hurt and wear down the oposition ruckman. If he's not getting any kicks, he should be doing the 1%ers.

At present he's just not doing enough of anything.
