What is everyones problem with jamar ?? he didnt have a great year this year due to a few injuries. Last year he was almost as good as White and this year i thought he would just about be the number 1 ruck but injuries didnt help him and we saw last year when he missed that final in fremantle how much of a big loss he is. When will people realise Paul Johnson is NOT a ruckman!! he can not ruck and with Jeff White coming to the end jamar is the only option there is no way Paul Johnson has or will have the potential to be a number two ruckmen at AFL level let alone number one.
 
Mate, you are seriously overating him he is lazy around the ground

the only place i personally like him is at FF everywhere else he looks out of place

he has great hands and thats about it but i agree he is a step above PJ

agree with you on Paul Johnson, we recriuted him as a forward.

I think you are overating Jamar, but i still want him on our list. Im a big Fan of the mad Russian.

PJ can kick, can handball, can lead and can put his head over the footy. Jamar can do none of those things.
Jamar can take a big hanger and then kick a point, and can win a hitout, but usually straight to the opposition.
If PJ can win some hit outs he can make it as an afl ruckman (not a great one). If Jamar can learn how to kick, and can do something around the ground he could make it as an afl footballer.
Both need a lot of work, but PJ is closer at the moment.

If he could do direct those to the guys in the red and blue I'd be relatively happy but he can't.
 
Worst thread ever, Jamar is not even in PJ's league as a player i want to see PJ play up forward next year gets on good leads and no one would be stupid enough to stand in front of him. Jamar is lazy and has pretty bad skills.

Stick him at full forward along with the great man Newton and if it doesn't work out then trade or delist. and as him replacing White, why do you think we are getting big Meesen?
 
Don't see the point in giving him another year just to try him out at full forward. If you think he has little trade value now, just wait another year after doing jack all. I'm sick of Melbourne persisting with useless footballers. Bloody culture.

John Meeseen who the f*ck is he...what the f*ck has he ever done?? play 2 games n got 1 touch...its alright to say jamars not up to but to say Meesen will take over when he was never done anything is ridiculous

Calm down, Jamar can play for another 10 years and he will never do anything, where as Meesen has quite and upside. As Marns said, we can't keep persisting with useless footballers.

Good point on Jamar. I say how many years before a young ruckman (Jamar) produces.
Jamar was rookie listed in 2002 so has had 6 seasons to produce very little.
I hold few hopes that Jamar will produce anything of note apart from being a fill in ruckman. I can't see him ever being a first choice ruckman. He just hasn't come on since 2004 when Jolly was playing for Melbourne.
After 6 years excuses for Jamar run thin on me.
