Everyone is also forgetting to actually get the set shots at goal despite being third/fourth in line when the options are sized up, he would also have to be moving out of pav and tarrants way ... Basically you look over this year and to an extent last year and the majority of his shots are coming from 35+ and close to the boundaries more often than not. He was damaging in 06 leading out of the deal score with good space to move in
As much as i think Tarrant is awesome for his work rate up the ground, Murph will never produce the 06 stats while Taz is in the side... Question remains, with no tarrant, could murph better 1.5 goals a game?
I think so...
The club seemed to really overreact to the loss to sydney in 06 in terms of needing a power forwardline as i recall they worded it. I mean we lost by a few goals to the reigning premier on a cold night on their other home ground that we had hardly ever played on...
