Hey I was listening to McVeigh on SEN's morning glory today and he sounded positive as they always do !! He mentioned there will be a few players this season that will be playing in different positions than we are use to seeing. He mentioned Adam McPhee could be up forward and himself playing in the midfield !!

How does that leave our backline when McPhee gives us so much drive!! What do u guys think about that, good or bad?

Over the past few years he hasn't given us much drive anyways so Knights moving him to the forward line will be a positive for the backline AND the forward line. He didn't really dash of half back and create as many opportunities with his disposal to the players upfield like he used to so it was a good decision by Knights to move him to the forward line where he played a few great games during the 07 season.

Fletch, Nash, Myers, NLM, Rama and possibly Winderlich and Dempsey will create enough drive off half back, so i don't think we really have to worry about area as Knights seems to really be working hard on this area and will most likely have all worked out and covered in 08.

McPhee playing wing or half forward will be very good. Depsite his height he was never able to play key defense . He also does too many u-turns or goes sideways too much in the back half.
As a half forwad he can be very dangerous as he is a strong mark and can kick goals from 50.

would love to see him played on rotation between the 2, and then when we play sydney he can go back and play on O'keefe :thumbsu: (my all time favorite matchup)

In addition to playing wing and half forward, I'd like to see him used as an impact on-baller in the centre from time to time as well.

He's got a big frame and can crash a pack, and I think he could provide some important drive from the centre.

since bolton is gone, i reakon we should play McPhee on Goodes when we play Sydney

that would be a great match up but i like him playing on O'keefe the best overhead markers from each team and they both play running roles down the ground
