Yeah he only played about three quarters, but neverm in the middle. I too was expecting a lot more time in the midfield as his pre-season and pre-season form probably deserved it. Kicked a beautiful goal, but was probably in the bottom 5 players in terms of impact. I'm not sure why maybe he copped a niggling injury or something like that.
He was quiet. I was thinking he will face a new challenge dealing with a new role. One thing about being in the backpocket is you know you have to follow a man and prevent opposition scoring. Playing hff is tough as the ball can often go over you, especially when your ff is burning. It may take mcveigh a while to get used to playing in this new position and he may get more time on the ball in later games. He did kick an important goal in the context of the match.
