Being a Melbournian i have never seen this guy play. But from last night he looks to be a very good and very exciting player. I like his pace and good skills, i hope he can fit in with our team balance and play a lot for us in the future. Look forward to seeing him in a few more Wizard Cup games.

Should get some games this year but I would say he is still one year away from being a regular...

Nicoski.

Having a surname that people sometimes mispell myself, I know how annoying it can be.

This boy could be the next Judd. Has all the right attributes for being a great player. I was impressed with his speed and his kicking was second to none. The addition of a little more bulk wouldn't go astray but I would pencil him in for a wing in the not to distant future.

He's not as big as Judd, is he?

Certainly I like him a lot. Has beautiful foot skills, and is composed under pressure- can't believe he was overlooked and got onto our rookie list.
Long term, he may very well end up as midfielder when Cousins and Fletch's careers start to wind down- whenever I saw him at WAFL, I thought he had a bit of Cuz or Crawford in him- ball magnet, good under pressure, wonderful skills.
For now though, I would say he's a serious chance as a back pocket/flanker- certainly, he'll put pressure on Banners to hold his spot.

Only 2cm in it but he might have grown over summer.

Poor old Banners will be under heaps of pressure from players like Green, Morrison, Wooden, Butler, Waters, Collica, Humm and Selwood. Wish him luck.

True that :) I suppose its the ideal way for our side to be- far better for the vets and fringe players to have constant pressure on them for their spots rather than for out of form players to be left alone because there isn't anyone to replace them.

Still, I hope Jako and Banners get to take part in a serious finals campaign whilst they can still contribute to the side.

Same here. and my first name

Nico was impressive, especially towards the last quarter, and kicking to goals. He needs a bit more weight on him though, according to the stats of last year's list, he was the lightest player.

I didn't pay much attention to Selwood last year. Are these two in anyway simliar to eachother.

By the look of it, Nicoski is a better player IMO but according to afl.com Selwood has grown to 189cm. Would be handy having another player that size in the midfield.

He was fairly handy rebounding for Subiaco off a HBF last season.

Very, very impressive. Hopefully he stays injury free and may be a regular in 1 or 2seasons, hard to judge on one match.

for those WAFL regulars ... is he more a Chambers 'rebounding HB while my opponent racks up 30 touches type' or is he capable of close checking play?

Haven't heard a heap bout Mark over here in Victoria but i thought he was quite impressive especially in the thrid quarter with that smother and tackle on Buckley! Good Stuff mate! looking forward to seeing more of him throughout the year.

He is more accountable than Chambers and is good at reading the play.
