Nicoski has amazing goal sense, the amount of goals he kicked off half a step without even time to look at the goals in the last few years.. but I get the feeling his best might be behind him. :(
He does, he nails those snaps. So much more exciting to watch than hill. Hopefully he gets some good form going in the wafl then challenges for a spot.

Hill is really exciting and really hitting his straps, but a lot of what he does is defensive or so quick (like taps to other players) that it goes unnoticed. Nicoski has been a favourite of mine for years, and not only can he nail great 50m snaps off a step, he can crumb in the goalsquare off our quality tall fwds too. If Nico's body holds up,we'll have two top quality midsize forwards for a little while.

Nicoski is super super fit, so he should have another couple of years left.

When he finishes up will make a great developmental coach, he almost does that already with his mentoring of the younger guys.

He would be a good trade target for a club that needs goals scoring power.

Nico and Hams would immensly improve a Melbourne foward line that only has Howe capable of kicking
a couple of goals.

It is difficult to see Lecras, Hill and Nicoski in the same team.

Why? There are 6 forward positions - those three along with JK and Darling make 5.

That leaves a space for 2 others like a ruck or midfielder to rotate through. (if you assume one forward will be rotating on the bench).

We have played with Sheppard in the forward line instead of Nico - so I don't see the issue.

I certainly see more of a spot in the 22 for Nico than I do for Selwood. Howveer if Nico's injury has cost him a yard of pace - he will be on the scrapheap as well.

Because they are too similar. Granted, Lecras and Hill do more lead-up mark work, but Nicoski is still of the same mould. Your scenario also presumes that we won't have uncovered a viable small forward option (which I admit may be the case). For argument's sake, would you still have all 3 if a Dick/Newman/Hams were good enough for a spot?

I agree with the Selwood comment.

If say Dick was good enough for a spot, it would suggest one of hill, lecras or nicoski weren't.

Deserves a chance to play again before he's taken behind the old white screen. Agree that at his best >>>> hill
