Well, firstly, I'm nearly 40, so no, my clubbing days are a bit behind me now.

Second, I don't disagree that players at every club would be doing it. That doesn't make it right or make it a "frame up" to say that Collingwood is doing it.

It was always going to affect them. I had a bad feeling about the game, this wasn't going to galvinize the players like other shitstorms, plus we don't have Maxwell as captain like we used to.

Loved the commentary in the second half. Richo, 'which I thought was a disgrace', re the breach. These comments is why he's such a good bloke, and the most likeable in the footy media.

It is the only topic anyone has been talking about for days. It's also likely to be divisive within the playing group with the clean skins being labelled druggies too.

You only have to see the ignorant stuff posted on these boards to see how dangerous it is. Our own posters keep saying 11 players like that's some official figure. Posters are calling them drug addicts which I seriously doubt any of them are. You then have family members getting concerned and people asking all sorts of questions.

Of course it effects them. There's a big difference with some anonymous figures being bandied about the press than being specifically named as the problem club of drug takers.

Fair call Kirby and the truth is I didn't look at it from
that perspective maybe because I know stuff about this issue and our players.

Maybe my emotion on this issue has put blinkers on me. The fact is all I kept saying during the game is that I have never seen them play so bad.

I don't know the answer and haven't heard Bucks excuse for tonight.

I think it's disappointing that the article and focus has been, in some respects, unfairly directed toward us, however we know the score therefore can't absolve ourselves of liability.

What I would like to see however is us turn our size advantage into gains off the field by making a concerted effort to feed media sources information pertaining to other clubs and players which is damaging. I have no doubt that the football community is relatively small, and that there is a lot that goes unsaid. It seems however that those unwritten rules are being rewritten in order to sell papers, therefore rather than keeping quiet and being the 'good guys', whilst also attracting the biggest target, we should proactively feed media sources in order to deflect or to detract from others. Only then might others think twice about targeting certain clubs or individuals.

For what it's worth I think this also applies somewhat to Essendon. Yes, they deserved scrutiny, however the level of scrutiny aimed at some of the bigger and traditionally more successful clubs in the AFL (Us, Essendon, West Coast) is disproportionate to that of clubs such as Sydney, the Gold Coast and maybe a few others who the AFL tries to protect at all costs
