Dont stress over this tool! So many people have written off the pies & thats because we traded Tarrant & lost the bullies in a final.

People love to get stuck into the pies, we all should know that by now! But when the pies shove it up them, it makes it all so sweat!!!

I heard it. He tipped us for the spoon. Basically he said we lacked key backs and when going though that he omitted Wakelin and Maxwell. He said a few things along a similar vain. He said Buckley was old and Clement was getting old etc. He didn’t of course say Hird or Fletcher were old when discussion turned to his mob.

He might be right, but I don't really get the logic.

Realistically, people can only really predict a climb from one or two teams with a good list and a fall from one or two teams who have iffy lists.

In a way, we have an iffy list which has a couple of 'agers', but Bucks and Burns will surely squeeze out something similar to last, and the blokes who got us there are mostly there except for Didak early.

A slide is quite feasible, but spoons are won by car-crashes and the only way we'll be that is with extraordinary injuries. It's just too big a slide for a team which almost snuck a top four finish.

But anything can happen and we were spoon favourites leading into last year and 2002, so it's irrelevant what 'experts' think.

I didn't hear it and I'm not particularly bothered , it is possible. But it is no suprise that he ommitted or just forget people who regularly play in the team.
Anyone mildly competent would know that the midfield is Collingwoods major problem , not the backline , which is quite strong on paper and seems to be where the majority of our promising youngsters play.
Now to my real point , Mark Robinson is an incredibly stupid man and a fraud as a sports journalist.I also find his persona of the barely sober , everyman grating , but atleast it is better than when he tries to be serious and analytical , and then comes out with the standard garbage which he seems to think is quite thoughtful and worthy of serious discussion.

His At the bar column with Anderson was one of the most cringe-worthy pieces you will read in a professional newspaper, even for a column that was not overly serious.

I heard his comments, and it made me laugh, shows why we hate Essendon supporters. This bloke thinks we don't have the fire power to kick goals, last year we were the one of, if not the best scoring team in the comp. so he obviously is relating the fact that because we have lost Tarrant, we wont score goals. As much as l liked Taz, he wasn't the highest goal kicking forward going around. I don't think we have lost any of our other forwards, and if anything l believe we will have even better fire power up forward this year. Robbo u idiot!!
