I thought I told you to stop abusing your internet privileges and get back to researching your humanities project! :(

No ,no, I appreciate his enlightening statement. But now I do feel a bit bullied and fragile.

It seems Alan Stewart resides in the bushes at Alberton these days and it seems to have upset little Marcus a bit. Is little Marcus being hypocritical with his copycat comments......
What did the premiership coach say anyway? Is there some link? I note that in one of your later posts you say it wasn't Stewart anyway.
How PW of the Cows to be spying on us. It's a good thing we've been spying on you to realise your training is based on your spying on us. Now when you spy on us we will be aware and can spy on you spying on us.......I need a lie down.

How to mislead everyone.

Mark was actually making a comment about how Niel Craig in his wisdom has taken some of port 2004 game plan and has been using it at practise. Just like mark stole some of brisbanes 2003 game plan.( Some may say it is returning to the old run out of the backline that the crows used in the 90's)

In doing so he was answering a question about how he see the game this sunday night.

There was no implication or comment to suggest he was annoyed at stewart or anyone from the crows watch port train.

First lesson in life. Never defend the indefensible.

It was another cheap shot from a man who can't resist cheap shots.

He just continues to reaffirm my opinion of him.

I saw the interview with Choco, and it was his standard sarcastic Crows reference which he has become very adept at in the last year or so.

Why a premiership coach has such an inferiority complex is beyond me.

Great coach - disastrous PR man. Just ask Bucky how close his smart arse comment against the club's principal sponsor came to costing them a huge bucket of money each year.

Still, if Craig turns out as good a coach, I won't give a rat's about his PR skills either. :D

I thought Crows fans would be delighted that their team is trying to learn from the best. Depending on how hard you have been studying us you may see your team bring the ball through the corridor, implement a decent zone from opposition kick-ins, clear the defensive 50 from your own kick-ins and with any luck one of your ruckmen may take a mark.
However you still need talent to be a good side no matter what training regime you follow.

As I said the Stewie reference was simply to relate our spying to your previous and constant spying.

Can you afford anymore spies to spy on our spies spying on you? :p

Look I think it was merely a tongue in cheek comment to possibly stir some emotion between the supporters as it has here. Just a way to get more ppl to AAMI Sunday night

Hadn't heard the Stewart thing, but I did hear Williams on SEN this morning saying that the Crows were using some of Port’s training methods etc and “good luck to them” or words to that effect.

Just your standard coach’s by play leading up to a game, all in good fun, that sort of thing.

Well put arrowman - it was harmless banter to stir up some extra interest in the match.

Its quiet obvious though that premiership coach Choco has certainly got under the skin of some Crow supporters.

I'm aware of that dimwit. It is a normal practice, but considering he left us, and went to you, Mark should be the way he is.
Or is that a concept that is too hard to understand for you?
Yet you had no problem with PAFC stealing staff from other clubs ie: Andrew Russell? See the point of the thread now, hypocritical=absolutely.

A professional would wish Allan well and wish him success at his new club and thank him for his contribution, but we all know Williams can only function when his back's against the wall and he can exploit the massive Alberton chip on the shoulder. I think he might find this harder to exploit in coming years as the AFL is a different ball game altogether and most take his comments with the appropriate amount of dismissal that they deserve.

I agree with point one but its understandable Mark has gotten under some skins.

Its his second largest task in life - baiting the AFC

Some of his comments are very childish.

We at the AFC, have far braoder horizons and don't find it appropriate or necessary to bait the PAFC at every given opportunity.

Funny that you cut the quote off before this bit:

Trouble is Williams isn’t very good at it, he always manages to sound as though he actually means it.
;) The Premiership Coach (woooooo) doesn't "get under my skin", he just amuses me when his attempts at banter come out as whinges. He can't help it, I suppose - some people are good at banter, some aren't.

But I don't deny that some Crows supporters take Choco far too seriously.

Serious question:- What is the issue with Andrew Russell coming to Port afc9798? Not aware of him being poached. Can you enlighten me?

Now onto the front foot:-What about AFC poaching David Noble from Glenelg? Lets not throw the word hypocritical around too lightly!

I gotta say - this whole thread is a laugh.

Anyone that saw the interview (or should I say - the bits and pieces that were cut and put together) would have seen that he was almost laughing as he said most of it. It actually looked like by play between choco and the reporters.

I also got a laugh out of the response from John Reid. Choco went fishing and reeled him in big time. Going on about who visited schools first and this and that.

If thats the best thing you guys can come up with to bag Port then I'm content. Not many years ago we'd be pagged for not winning games .. how time have changed.

Ahhahhahhah! That's pretty funny. This entire thread is one big excercise in baiting Port Adelaide.

Mark (much like yourself, obviously  ) has a sense of humour. Many people don't (or choose not to) understand this.

Tip:....when he's smiling...he's taking the ********. When he's got flames coming out his ears...he's not.

Suggesting that a thread on the Adelaide Board is designed to bait Port Adelaide supporters, is about as sensible as suggesting that when I go fishing at Brighton I'm looking to catch European Carp. ;)

You'd like it to be about you, but it's not.

This is a thread analysing, in great detail, a flippant comment made by Port Adelaide's coach. Hence I found the rather haughty suggestion that the AFC has 'far broader horizons' in the very same thread rather amusing.

Please excuse me....but I do believe it is about Port Adelaide, and those horizons aren't looking especially broad from here.

I can't recall my club being the one whining in the media about gameplans and how they are derived. The Andrew Russell appt. was controversial as he was poached from Essendon and Sheedy made a big deal of this. All I'm saying is that this is a practice at all AFL clubs, so live by the sword die by the sword (although I expect Choco didn't think he'd get so many swords in the guts after a premiership year). Hopefully your club can find its' way over the Nick Stevens bridge this year also, a few more SMS's might do it-classy.

As per above, the David Noble thing is irrelevant, although I don't agree with him being poached unless he had an out clause for an AFL appt. If there is a contract broken in this process, I think it's wrong, but I also think there were better options for us than Noble anyway.
