After watching tonight's game at the Dome, I've come to the conclusion that he has one of, if not the best football brain/vision at Collingwood.

Anyone else at T Dome who watched him and his kicking HAVE TO agree with me.

Quite amazing if I do say so myself... jealous we didn't get him oh well I truly hope he continues on his rise as a great footy player - may very well one day be remembered as one of the best going around in this day and age. Very Impressed.

I wouldn't go as far as the best - that Buckley bloke's not bad, and some guy named J.Clement goes alright too as far as footy brain is concerned.

But yes, if we're talking about young players, he would be second only to Pendlebury.

Seriously, Marty was the only guy tonight who put shepards on and di the 1%'s all night - and some joker said he should dropped on one of the other threads - because "he isnot getting enough possesions"! Is it just me or is that worst call of the year!

Smart smart player went onto mcleod in the second half and shut him down (thank god for that i spent all first half screaming who the hell is on Mcleod i think it was davis).

Will be a very good player marty tough as nails fast like the hard ball and can actually kick

I disagree.

No one at PieLand can match Pendles with that silky smooth skills, poise and just not getting caught. But in terms of vision and picking out some amazing options (even fans in the stands don't notice), Clarke impressed me so much. I remember how Buckley used to get so talked up about his 40-50 metre passes. This kid, in his 1st year of AFL footy was doing it last night!

Pendlebury has so much to offer but I think Clarke is the more important style midfielder for Collingwood in years to come. Big call. But Im very confident in Martin Clarkes ability from what Ive had the pleasure of seeing.
