Given MMM are struggling and Elliot is back to kicking just 1 goal a game. We need to do something as we look miles off kick 100 points unless we play a bottom 4 team.

Simply put every other team has a golden opportunity to gain 4pts on us.

We must pick our best side from those available. No management of fit players.

We must load up for Hawthorn as beating Adelaide in Adelaide after tonight looks near on impossible this year.

The Markov - Dean selection, Mitchell out must have been because of the five day break coming up. Theres no other reasoning and it backfired.

So let’s hope Howe Frampton and Mitchell make the difference. Maybe Allen was managed too because the Markov half forward role was bewildering.

I guess we will see what side is picked for Adelaide. Hopefully we are close to full strength and can see where we are at pre finals.

Frampton for Dean, move Perryman into Long’s midfield spot for and Howe into defence.

And move Markov back into defence and Houston to the wing. We desperately needs some run behind the ball with Houston and Perryman not providing any.

i do agree that Markov playing forward was an extremely bizarre plan for this game, especially since we had Bobby waiting in the wings.

I thought Markov should only have been selected for speed in our d50.

But don't think this was the main problem.

Main problem is our midfield. We don't know yet how to optimise our options. We have many players who can run through there and play various roles. We haven't discovered as yet the best formula. we don't have long to do so.

I have consistently commented that I think Ned Long can play a crucial role. I was very disappointed tonight. But he needs a rest. Give him a week off and see what he can do against Adelaide.
