Falcons v Sowfs - well, what can I say but the Garlics are flying. They are the antithesis of their coach, socks down, bustling Billy and they look classy, full of running. Perhaps removing Campbell from the team was the answer?
Sowfs are looked a million bucks the first week, got a few injuries, got some surprise players back and looked ordinary the next 2.
JD will be back at his stomping ground of the Arena and knows how the West Perth faithfull tick, but can he turn it around? I see improvement in Hams, T Bairstow and Phillips, in particular, McGrath is a big miss as he's ultra professional and keeps getting the job done. I have liked the glimpses I have seen of Guglielmama, Collica and Palumbo and I think the injection of the younger kids is going to be necessary to keep the older, more experienced guys on their toes. Graham's obviously not 100%, because he hasn't been able to influence games. Head still has a beautiful left foot which can be deadly and Murphy is still a class WAFL forward, so what needs to be done?
The Falcons have good forwards in Tsalikis, Darling (if playing) and LeCras, a good, honest, hard working running division, led fantastically by Salecic and a solid defence. I mean the runners are Salecic, Lamb, Rice, Crossland, Guadagnin, with Mitch Andrews thrown in to ruck. Hardly household names, are they? But they get the job done. This should be an absolute corker because the Bullies won't want to go 1-3.
