Maths Methods Exam

I just did Exam 1 this morning, and heck did i struggle!!

In the practice exams I gunned it. I always had over 80%. But when I saw this years exam I totally shi_tted myself. I couldn'tdo half the questions

What impressions did everyone else have? Easy? Hard?

Maths Methods

Do Maths General I did Methods for the 1s half of the year but it was too hard for me so I quit.......I know im weak as piss

I found this years Methods exam bloody good.

Probably got a lot to do with the overlap from my Specialist class, and also that last years was deemed too hard by some examiners so they made this years easier.

D4E, you probaly did better than you thought, so chill.

Ay, what did you all get for the final short answer question, question 7?

Whats maths methods anyway? Over here we have 4 different maths courses for yr 12.

Calculas - differentiation, integration, limits etc..
Applicable Maths - statistics, probability, counting techniques
Discrete maths - less hard version of Applicable maths
Maths in practice - you have to be seriously dense to do this. Not counted as a TEE subject.

I got e^2 + 2, I think... Ah, well. And I did get 11pi/60, as well, yay!

Vis, Methods is one of the harder maths, with calculus, probability and er, other stuff. Specialist is calculus, vectors, kinematics, mechanincs, trig, algebra, etc, and it's bloody hard, too. I'm lucky it gets marked up lots. I don't know what the other maths is like.

Ive got the yr 11 methods exam coming up in a couple of weeks I think. I've got big shoes to fill too - I got 92% in the mid-year exam.

It really wasnt all that hard. Ive basically done nothing in class all year. I just worked my ass off learning the course in the last 2 weeks before the exam

Which exam are you talking about? My exam this morning had the probabilty on candles and the selection ofthem. Maybe different areas get different exams?

I thought it was ok, the first exam was easier though. I nearly forgot to do question 4, lol.
