Thought he slotted back into our midfield quite nicely and was a solid contributor for three quarters

For a player often criticized for being soft to put his body on the line like he did particularly coming back from a broken jaw was fantastic to see

Unfortunately it looks like he's earnt himself a broken collarbone which wil probably end his season but it is the sort of thing that sets an example

Would be devastated if he misses finals again. Thought he really offered some good run tonight first up (is clear the step up from Shep/Razzle in my opinion). Really hope it is not too bad.

Not so sure its the collarbone Keys, looked more like he copped the brunt of Schoey's fist to me. Could be wrong though!

Was going off a comment in the gameday thread

Hope like **** it's not a collarbone or any other type of break

He deserves to play finals and we need him in the side without question

Yes. Great courage. Still can't kick but that was tough.

Hugely underrated player and glad that the myth of him being soft has finally been put to rest

That is a massive, massive blow if he is done for the year - vital part of our midfield and as mentioned above is miles in front of the next best alternative

At risk of hyperbole.

What a shame, is now very a very important component of our midfield and his loss is a big blow for the finals. Sheppard would have been the obvious replacement, but with Embley now match fit, will we go for a like for like replacement? All that comes to mind is Dalziell, who surely will not be a part of the finals side.

Feel gutted for the bloke, second year running he'll miss the finals.

Depends what type of break it was. I snapped mine clean in half and the surgeon I saw here, who has done a couple of the AFL players, said that if I got it plated I could be playing again in a couple of weeks. Also depends how deep into the finals we go.

Instead of bringing Dalziell in to replace Rosa as a like-for-like, perhaps Masten can rotate with Gaff and Embley on the wing, while a HFF replacement can slot in for Masten.

Out: Rosa IN: Masten - as a wing rotation.
IN: Lynch OUT: Darling - as a CHF.
IN: Darling OUT: Masten - as a HFF.

On the other hand, Masten can move onto a wing and Strijk can play on a HFF.

Shep is out for the year.

Not the worst move by any means.

Gutted for Rosa though, I rate him but I'm not his biggest fan but was a massive effort and to miss finals again would be terrible.... verging on Nico type luck.

Feel so bad for Matty...poor bloke! The boys will get around him and make sure he feels part of September! He has been a big part of the team and his contributions are one of the many reasons we have still made the finals after such a wretched run with injury! Love your work Matty!
