Only 2 farms left in Geelong to purchase ive heard. Although when Rhys Stanley retires and sells his farm for 8.7 mill to Simmonds Homes in 2028 it should free up a extra list spot for Geelong

What can Geelong and Collingwood realistically expect to give the Suns, especially if Geelong are still looking at Butters and Reid? Picks in the 20’s won’t cut it IMO especially with the bidding system changes.

Like him at the Cats but I think he's a bit overrated. Reminds of Darcy Parish but probably a slightly higher ceiling for Rowell.

What makes you say that. I have no idea either way but my gut tells me we haven't ever been in the Rowell race. Butters and Reid I believe we're a shot at in 12-months time.

we would be looking at Rowell in the event Port won't trade Butters this year we want to strike now. With Rowell realistically 2 r1s will get it done even if that's unders-given he's ooc.

Doesn't really matter where the picks are for the suns. They won't get picks that land ahead of a Zeke Uwland bid no matter who they trade with. Middle of the road picks are probably better for them tbh.

Whatever picks they get for Rowell they will either trade forward to next year or trade for a player anyway.

They'll need to keep a lot of points in this year though with Addinsal and Patterson potentially going in the first round too.

Touks role this year is the best he has been, Humphrey, Will Graham and Flanders will have to fill the Rowell hole by committee but it wont be the same. Sucks that even when the club turns it around we leak players.

Yeah I think Flanders is also very capable, Humphries is one of my favourite opposition players to watch.

I think the real line in the sand though was Humphries. When he signed on I think that was a turning point where Dew had the group bought in.

Wouldn't be surprised either if the reason Rowell is looking around is because Dew got sacked

I think they’ve improved, but more off the back of general growth, and my biggest concern for them is I think the ladder lies atm.

It’s been a pretty cushy draw so far. And it only gets better. Have only played 2 top 8 teams away from home, and one of them was in QLD anyway. Failed both tests.

Whilst it sets them up for the final 8, playing the good teams at home and the worse sides as away games is actually setting them up for failure IMO.
