Why you have to love the bloke:

Because he's still out giving autographs to kids when every other player has been in the showers for an hour.

Because he put a smile on my mum's face that is still there despite us feeding her lemons for the last 12 months to get rid of the grin. It was during a club function i asked Richo if he'd mind having his photo taken with her. He says "yea, i'd love to" with a big grin. (he'd already spent some time chatting to her). Mum goes up and Richo puts a big mit around her and says "You've made my day"! and photo is taken (no need for mum to say 'cheese'). All the way home mum kept saying "He said i made his day"! The photo takes pride of place in her house!

While talking to Rachel at the club, she said it's unbelievable how much he will do to help them out. If someone's wife / sister / mum etc is in hospital, he's the one rallying the boys to go down and visit.

While talking to Richo in a hair salon (yea i use the same hairderesser - scary huh) - this was during the Frawley days when he'd been asked to take a massive pay cut. I asked him about it and he said he'd take a cut but not what they are asking. I asked him about the talk of trading him, and his straight answer was "If that happened i'd retire"! POINT BLANK!

Consider this. He sits 12th on the all time goal kicking list, but look at the players above him. Look at the quality of the teams they played for - constantly playing finals. How many more goals would he have if the ball was entering our forward 50 more than barely 40 times a game.

During 2007 after running West Coast close, the commentary team on Triple M pondered who in our side would make the WC team. BT said surely Richo would, and then they started to seriously consider how many goals he'd kick a game for them. The conclusion they seriously came to considering the extra forward 50 entries and improved delivery was 6 to 8 a game. Just 6 a game would have him pushing the record of 150 in a season counting finals.

When i consider how good he'd be with a decent midfield it almost slingshots the elastic of my undies clear over my computer monitor!

How do I rate Richo, one of the greatest contested and pack markers in football I have seen. Addding to that, have you ever seen a guy so big with the explosive pace he had in his younger years.

nah mate, never.... Some tiger faithful harshly criticize the bloke sometimes but they would never let him go. No club would. He is a legend !!
