I brought max into my supercoach this week for Ginbey . I now have the 3 gun rookies in Sheezel, Ashcroft and Max. I think Max is good enough to finish behind Sheezel this year.

question for the board Norwood fans who watched him regularly last season - Why exactly was he left out of the GF side? Has he improved markedly since joining the AFL squad? because I don't see how he wouldn't have been best 22 for Norwood with how he's played so far

Great question! Especially since the week before (prelim) he was supposed to get Luke Pedlar (before he pulled injured).

It says a lot about the trust the coaches have in Max that is being given the job on the most dangerous small forwards. And he’s absolutely cleaning them up.
He just doesn’t get beaten one on one. Ever.
His knowledge of when to apply a bit of body pressure, his willingness to block and clear space, his clean hands and disposal by foot and his calmness of mind are all incredible.
He’s the real deal.

3. UNDER THE RADAR CROW

Nineteen-year-old Max Michalanney could walk down Chapel St without being recognised. But the Adelaide Crows’ defender is currently one of the most unsung heroes in the competition and will step into the spotlight against the might of the Carlton forward line to kickstart Gather Round on Thursday night.

In a low-profile Adelaide back line, Michalanney kept veteran Fremantle star Michael Walters goalless from five possessions in their 67-minute match-up, after shutting down Richmond pair Shai Bolton and Maurice Rioli a fortnight ago.

Adelaide smashed the Dockers at ground level on Saturday, and Josh Rachelle and Izak Rankine are lighting up the competition with their party tricks.

But it’s the unwavering efforts of the 190cm Michalanney along with stopper Nick Murray, Mitchell Hinge and Jordon Butts who have got the job done in no-fuss fashion.

Reckon it was his size and lack of experience for a GF. Plus he was only in the team for an injured Seymour who returned and played a big grand final, so was the right call.

Look I really like Max but Sheezel is an absolute gun and isn't really playing the same shutdown position. For what he's being asked to do Sheezel has been the complete package.
And Sheezel isn't going to be playing half back for a whole lot longer just like Nick Daicos...

I highly doubt either club moves them, unless you think they're budding inside mids.

He's much better than pick 17 so sydney were right to bid on him.
Yeah, Sydney have a good eye for talent, so when they bid on him I was even more happy that he was ours.
Best thing, he is a raving Crows fan and we don't have to worry every time his contract is up Wether or not he will leave.

Worked for Callum Mills and Will Day

And a lot of others too. Though really most positions on the ground suit developing inside mids. Still, Sheezle/Daicos are probably at their end game position, if they're not moving to the engine room.

I love Maxy, but Sheezel is an absolute beast.
I would have him in my team any day of the week.
Ofc Sheezel is your quarter pounder whilst future Capitano is your Big Mac.
can't go wrong with either, but BM is more complete and satisfying.

I agree, but my guess is they both end up engine room mids. And very good ones, at that
