Sorry for starting a thread on your board however if your not aware Mark Coughlan has done his hammy once again[3rd time]since his Knee reco.
Just wondering has any of you talked to Max Rooke after his hammy worries and weather the Treatment he got over in Germany was worth it?

Going by what I have read/heard in interviews with himself and club officials, yes.

I don't know him, but as a supporter I think it was thoroughly worth it. It doesn't mean that the treatment will be any good for Cogs though as it really depends on the nature of the issue. Last year when Buckley was having hammy problems it was talked about as being a possible solution but was dismissed as not being suitable. If its a tear it may be a solution, but if its a strain or back related, then it won't help.

Thanks for that fella,s.Although the club isnt giving away much apparently its a fully blown tear of the Hammy whereas the previous 2 were just soreness.

If he has persistent issues with hammy injuries then it may well be related to back problems etc. which will take more than 'calves blood' and other whacky German treatments to fix.

I'd say Max definitely thinks it was worth it... the premiership medallion in his top drawer probably wouldn't be there if he didn't go over.

Yes it is worth it get him over there. I love Rooke but Coughlan can be more important and damaging for Richmond than Rooke for Geelong. Has happened too many times now to mark he is a quality player.

Most definitely. All opinions coming out of the club were very happy with the 20k it cost to send him over. The link is our club physio, as he has worked with the German doc.

Well worth it.

Coughlan is on his way right now to Germany to vist Dr Moo Moo.Wallet confirmed it before the game.

Yes that's true, that contributed to the tear. I was really referring to back problems leading to pinched sciatic which in turn leads to hamstring issues without it necessarily being torn. This is the issue that Bucks had I believe. I've had it as well, treating the hamstrings themselves does nothing.
