Time for a bit of positivity on our board,

I know everyone has been raving about how good Kennedy and the big Mummy have been for us this year,

But the player who has really impressed me is McGlynn, When we recruited him off Hawthorn I had him thought out to be a tagger who had a bit of pace and could occasionally run off his man (someone to free up Jack),

But by god has he surprised me his pace and disposal is allot better than I could of hoped for, He has speed to burn (Has made a few great runs for us this year), Finds space or creates it and can find the big sticks.

Not to mention all of this is topped off by some insane courage, He literally would die to get his team over the line, and whilst his endurance isn't quite there yet (struggled to run out the game against Richmond) I think this may be due to his groin injury at the start of the season.

Oh and he isn't that bad looking either (Have a feeling he won't go out that way though)

Oh and McVeigh is still McSexy

YES HE DOES...

I LOVE MCBABE

He ATTACKS the football, He ATTACKS the man and he creates and sets up shots!
He is sooo instrumental to our team in such a short time..

and he is such a good get!!

BMac and JPK are great pick-ups, i do wonder why the Hawks traded them
Mcglynn wanted more then a one year deal and felt he was worth more, fair enough as well

Kennedy was basically going to be a depth player once we set sights on burgoyne, probably knew he wouldnt be playing his preferred position and went elsewhere

We didnt want to lose them, however when the guys want to play somewhere else there is not much you can do Hawthorn are happy that they got oppotunity elsewhere, sydney happy they got 2 good players dirt cheap.

In no particular order, all three have impressed me. Mummy has been outstanding and for a big bloke scrounging like a smaller midfielder around the packs is simply sensational. He is super impressive!

Kennedy, for mine, is the grunt that we need! I marvel at the fact that we have a Jobe Watson type champion midfielder in our team that cost us NOTHING! Exceptional player in the making imo...totally impressed.

McGlynn just compliments Kennedy and you almost see that they look for each other. Is it the way they played at Hawthorn? Do they have a natural understanding? Can they get Buddy to join them?

On a side note: Malceski was nothing short of brilliant today!

McGlynn has just about been our most consistent player (when you look at the games he's played and disregard how many he's missed). He, Jude and Mummy have been our best in that category in my view. None of them have played more than one average game.

Agree with pretty much every comment is this thread so far.

How courageous is McGlynn?

I haven't seen a player as reckless with his own body since Wade Chapman.

Got to love the way he goes about it, his injury was as noticable as anyone and whilst he hasn't been quite as good since coming back he has still been amongst our best.

Our B&F should be interesting though, would think that Malceski or Bolton would be leading but after that it's an absolute crapshoot.

That makes me sad in pants, Buddy Franklin... If he ever plays for the Swans ill get my tattoo removed of my arm... lol

Only to replace it with a Sydney Premiers 2011 tat?

Why the hell would you not want Franklin playing for the Swans!?

Because he plays a weak game, doesnt have team spirit and is a one man band... Plus I dislike him as a person.
After having Hall play for the Swans you couldnt have a Buddy.

So, going past Jude Bolton mate?

I refuse to call him McBabe, McGlynn will be an excellent pick up for us, barring injury.

Please tell me you don't specifically agree with bonza's little fagline about McVeigh still being McSexy???

I know you have that disturbing fondness for that Spanish Liverpool fop but can we tone down the homo-eroticism that seems to be infecting too many posts/posters.

You guys can do all the homo-erooting you like, but try and maintain some friggin dignity, MalFunc.

I have manlove for Goodesy, so does that disturb you?

Manlove is quite different from being homo-erotic though and quite normal when someone is your idol. ;)

Daisy Thomas should take a few pointers from Benny

What is the problem people have with Thomas (apartg from his being a high-draft Collingwood player). He's as tough as nails, anyone who thinks otherwise is heckin'g blind. And he's a good bloke; so what if you don't like his hair.

I'd have him over J McVeigh without blinking.

lol I just dont like his attitude, who cares about his hair? Its a bit gay... I really just dislike the guy!

The only thing i have against Thomas is he takes pot shots behind the play. He charges and shoulders blokes after disposal, when the ball is nowhere near the play and after goals. Not just a bit of tough stuff, but actual cheap shots when the other man is not looking. He did it over and over when we played them at ANZ and last year as well.

He is a very good player but i hate the way he acts on the field.

Macca was always a handy player, wanted a longer-term deal and fair enough too, his games deserved it.

K3, we always knew he was a special player. However, with Mitchell, Sewell, Lewis and the acquired Burgoyne his aims for that 'inside mid' role would have been wasted at Box Hill.

You got two absolute gem players for peanuts. (literally) I am, however, happy to see them doing well and getting regular one's footy. They are both deserving. :thumbsu:

There's a bloke in the red and white No 37 who has a history of that stuff.

Actually, to me, cheap shots are what Adam Hunter and several others used to do ... I really don't think Thomas (or Goodes) are cheap shot merchants.
