We are getting the McCartney and McCartney 2 re-issues but the sequel looks to be wedding number 3.

Would have rather Macca make the news for all his musical activity rather than his relationships, he still has the knack for creating some great music.

yeah..another year lacking a maca tour
if he was comming it would of been announced by now

ah well..hopefully he is good for one more studio album before he drops off

Paul McCartney has ‘done a Rod Stewart’ and recorded an album of classic pop and jazz standards and says that he’s also planning a “heavy rock album”.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about the covers album, McCartney explained that “It’s my dad’s style of music. I’ve wanted to do that kind of thing forever, since The Beatles days. But then Rod went mad on it. I thought, ‘I have to wait so it doesn’t look like I’m trying to do a Rod.’ They’re just songs I admire. I’m trying to steer away from the obvious ones. It’s get-home-from-work music. You put it on and get a glass of wine.” The album is due out in early 2012 and features several duets with jazz singer (and Mrs Elvis Costello) Diana Krall.

McCartney’s plans for a “heavy rock album” stem from the inspiration provided by Foo Fighters’ Wasting Light album. “It sounds quite wacky,” McCartney says, “but it keeps it fresh. I love that, you get a crazy idea and go with it. You never know, I may run into a garage to make this other album.”
